PRP Facial

A PRP facial works by concentrating the healing components already circulating in your blood and delivering them directly to your skin. Platelets carry growth factors, the signaling proteins your body releases whenever tissue needs repair. Concentrated and applied to the skin, they instruct fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, the two proteins responsible for firmness and elasticity.

The procedure begins with a small blood draw, usually from your arm. That sample is placed in a centrifuge and spun at high speed, separating the platelet-rich plasma from red blood cells and other components. The result is a concentrated serum containing several times the platelet density of ordinary blood. This preparation takes about 15 minutes while you wait.

The plasma is then applied to your skin in combination with microneedling. The microneedling step matters: it creates thousands of microscopic channels that let the PRP reach the dermis, where collagen is actually produced. Applied to intact skin, plasma largely sits on the surface; the channels are what make delivery effective. The microneedling itself also triggers a wound-healing response, so the two work together rather than one merely supporting the other.

Because a PRP facial works by stimulating your own regeneration rather than adding a substance to the skin, results develop gradually. Most clients notice improved texture and brightness within two to three weeks, with collagen-driven changes in firmness and scarring continuing to build over three to six months. A series of three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart is standard for most concerns.
